Azlan lands business solutions centre at Heathrow

Azlan has opened up its new Business Solutions Centre (BSC) at the company’s Heathrow office. The centre will give resellers the chance to use, learn about and demo enterprise products and service to their customers.

The enterprise infrastructure business unit of Tech Data says the new facility extends significantly on the resources that were previously available and links to similar facilities in France, the Netherlands and Sweden.

As well as the latest hardware and software from enterprise vendors, the Azlan BSC provides access to mobile and client solutions offered by Tech Data Mobile, and audiovisual solutions from Maverick, as integrated elements.

The facility is being equipped with all the latest technologies from Azlan’s vendor partners. Demonstrations will be delivered by Azlan specialists and technical consultants. It can be branded with partners’ logos and also those of their end user, if required.

There are eight APC Infrastructure racks within the data centre itself. A separate and external storage resource provides capacity to create and store popular technology combinations, so that any of its consultants can quickly reconstruct them when required.

In addition, the resources available in the other three centres in the Azlan BSC Network will be available via a private WAN. A 100Gbps connection is being installed at Heathrow to ensure there is adequate bandwidth to support live demonstrations.

Ian Mills, service delivery manager at Azlan, says that the new BSC will be an invaluable resource for resellers and should be seen as an extension to the partner’s business, enabling them to demonstrate the latest technologies and solutions without the expense and capital outlay of managing their own facility.

“It is a constant challenge for partners to keep pace with developments and to demonstrate their potential to customers. The Business Solutions Centre provides a vital resource for our partners, both for their own learning and development, and as a way of exploring the possibilities with customers.

“It enables both us and them to show exactly what can be achieved with the enriched array of enterprise technologies, solutions and services that they can now draw upon to make IT systems more efficient, dynamic, responsive and cost-effective,” he adds.
