Avecto recruits Arrow ECS to grow channel footprint

Security software vendor Avecto has signed a distribution agreement with Arrow ECS to help it grow partner numbers in the UK.

Richard Brooks, VP of sales for Northern Europe at Avecto says he hopes Arrow will act as a springboard into the channel. “To only way to grow our revenue… is through channel partners. It’s fundamental to what we’re trying to achieve,” he tells Channel Pro.

The agreement coincides with the vendor’s promise of a hundred percent channel sales model moving forward.

“Arrow has an exceptional reputation having built strong relationships with a vast number of key resellers. This collaboration will widen our footprint and allow us to target a large pool of new customers through our growing partner channel,” comments Paul Kenyon, EVP global sales at Avecto.

The Manchester-based vendor’s current UK partners are Axial Systems, Sysec, Caveo Systems, Brookcourt Solutions, Caretower, Realserve IT, Point to Point and Avatu. Brooks says the firm would like to recruit up to 20 partners via the drive.

Arrow will distribute Avecto’s Defendpoint solution to its 1800 UK resellers. Describing it as a holistic solution to endpoint security, the vendor says the software combines Privilege Management, Application Control and Sandboxing to protect the user’s operating system, software environment and user data from unknown cyber threats.

“We are excited to have Defendpoint as a channel offering and are confident that it will drive sales as well as helping to improve productivity and security across our resellers’ customers,” adds David Ellis, director of strategy at Arrow ECS UK and Ireland.

Avecto has 700 customers globally.
