Zynstra has signed a deal with Misco parent company, Systemax Europe to white-label its hybrid cloud offering.

The Zynstra offering includes IaaS elements such as file storage, backup and recovery, firewall, domain controller, Active Directory authentication and internet gateway. On top is a stack of popular Microsoft applications including Exchange, SharePoint and Office365 as well as Sage 50.

The new agreement with see Systemax market the solution through its Misco subsidiaries in Europe as Systemax Stack-as-a-Service and will establish recurring revenue streams from ongoing management and support of each Zynstra appliance.

Dave Hazard, SVP at Systemax Europe Technology says partnering with Zynstra enables Misco to enter the world of IT-as-a-Service: “Partnering with Zynstra is a strategic move which allows us to deliver to our customers a new way of thinking and allows them to integrate convergence, hybrid cloud & mobility solutions into their legacy IT Infrastructures,” he comments.

With just six months to go until Microsoft ends its support for Windows Server 2003, the firm cites research that says 68 percent of UK SMBs are thought to still be using the operating system. Zynstra says its Cloud Managed Server Appliances deliver on-premise IT and cloud IT services for a monthly fee, making them an affordable option for SMBs taking the opportunity to migrate to the cloud.

“Hybrid IT has emerged as the solution of choice for SMBs at the same time as the end of life of Windows Server 2003. Zynstra provides SMBs with the ability to affordably refresh their IT infrastructure while also positioning themselves for the future,” says Zynstra CEO, Nick East.

“Zynstra only sells through the channel, and this new partnership demonstrates the continued momentum of our business.”

The firm launched in July 2013, partnering with Easynet, which brought with it several hundred resellers already offering its communication service. Last February it signed up distributor Ingram Micro to further recruit UK channel partners.

Elsewhere Roger Sowerbutts has joined Zynstra as VP for EMEA and will be responsible for revenue, channel partners, sales, pre-sales and marketing. He joins from Infor where he was the regional VP EMEA for Global Accounts. He has also previously held EMEA VP roles at Comparex, Insight and Software Spectrum. He has also had five year stints at both Microsoft and HP.
