Espion has appointed Howard Freeman as manager of its London Value Added Distribution (VAD) division in order to boost successes in the area.

He will be specifically responsible for helping to meet demands of the SimpliVity, Tintri, Riverbed and A10 Networks distribution and developing reseller channels through the company's VAD programme.

Freeman's specialities are in the data networking, mobility, security and unified communications sectors and he will play a key role in helping VARs create opportunities and build ecosystems for the products.

Ex-Alcatel Lucent and IBM senior business development executive Freeman says: “I’m delighted to join Espion’s expanding UK team and this role further cements the firm’s commitment to the UK channel, having opened offices in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Newcastle in recent years.

"We see enormous opportunities in the emerging area of fabric-based infrastructure (FBI), which is the vertical integration of hardware and software infrastructure with automation on top. I am confident our cutting edge portfolio with ‘visionaries’ such as SimpliVity will enable us to take on this segment with gusto.”
