Global Distribution is a value-added, specialist distributor with a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing storage and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments within the audio/video, broadcast, CCTV and high-performance (HPC) markets. Dedicated to delivering the best new storage products and solutions to these markets, along with active support and development that is second to none, Global work very closely with all of their vendors, partners and resellers to meet the growing storage demands within these markets.

Found in 1995 The Global Distribution Group’s initial specialisation was in professional audio hardware technology, but moved to data storage technology within the evolving pro-audio and broadcast market in 1997 when they took on EMEA distribution for the highly-acclaimed, industry leading Digidesign Development partner Glyph Technologies. Global’s success and reputation within the audio market lead to new partnerships with ATTO Technology, Magma and a host of other vendors that saw great value in partnering with Global.

In 2003 Global re-located to the historic University City of Cambridge, England, by which time their vendor portfolio had expanded significantly – including AXUS Microsystems an ASUS Group Company – and their respected expertise in the data storage field had secured then a renowned place in the professional audio, video, content creation and broadcast market places through EMEA.

The exclusive assembly and distribution of G-Technology in EMEA was acquired in 2005 and further established Global’s reputation as a leading-distributor, as a result of the very strong and fast-growing introduction of the brand to the EMEA market. Global is currently G-Technology’s – now a Hitachi GST company – largest distributor outside of the USA and acts as the contracted technical support agent for G-Technology in Europe.

Global’s knowledge and products have enabled them to consistently expand into new markets, with recent years seeing significant growth in more conventional IT markets as well as specialist markets such as CCTV where the data storage technology being used has been insufficiently powerful, scalable and cost-effective – something that Global have addressed.

Vendor relationships with DataDirect Networks, Cache-A Corporation, Rimage and Xen Data have all further enhanced Global’s product and solution base, with the introduction of Global’s own Infinity range in 2009 set to fulfill numerous voids in the storage marketplace – especially the digital archive and data management sectors.

Always at the fore-front of storage technologies, with a clear focus on understanding the ever-changing requirement of end-users, Global are excellently placed to provide storage technologies that not only fulfill the needs of Global’s resellers and partners, but ultimately their clients’ needs – that are not properly addressed by conventional storage products.
